After a traumatic incident during his residency, young medical student James Hayman (Namir Smallwood) is transferred to a rural hospital to start over. Dr. Harrison (theater veteran and actor Michael Potts) notices that James is having difficulty and difficulty connecting with patients and suggests that he take a course focused on good manners and how to facilitate deeper relationships with patients. The demons of James’s past begin to haunt him when he becomes obsessed with the case of a young asthmatic patient (Sidney Flanigan, NEVER Rarely SOMETIMES ALWAYS) with mysterious symptoms. His grip on reality begins to slip when his disturbing nightmares, anxiety-fueled speculations and physical injuries collide with the harsh realities of the medical world. Director Alex Thompson has assembled a seasoned cast for his sequel to SAINT FRANCES, and predecessor to GHOSTLIGHT, in this unconventional, humanistic take on the genre.
