Britain has allowed filming inside the Foreign Secretary’s office, a rare honor given to any film or production, especially an American one
Scenario
In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, is given a high-level position for which she is ill-suited, with tectonic implications for her marriage and political future. The producers have convinced both the Americans and the British government that they will allow them to use real-world settings as filming locations for the series, including the still-new US embassy (in Nine Elms), which opened in 2018.

The only location that was unavailable was Winfield House, the royal residence of the US ambassador. Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest plot of residential land (27 acres) in London outside Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming purposes.
Absolutely excellent production and acting
The script is clever and interesting, engaging and well-paced. The character development is quite robust, and the players aren’t just caricatures.
My only complaint is that some of the “romance” stories are so confusing and disjointed that they’re disjointed and distracting
Time and time again, a character will seem one-dimensional at first, but then the story develops and they’re actually much more complex than initially suggested. Professional situations that suddenly turn into “I’m just a girl, I’m in front of a boy” seemingly out of nowhere.
Someone decided to turn up the soap a little, and it doesn’t make the result any better
